Emma Kate and Bryan: Married

On June 20th, in Quitman, MS I had the distinct honor of documenting Emma Kate & Bryan's wedding. These two are such a special couple and so in love it's amazing. It has been awesome getting to know both of them and I had such a great time shooting the wedding.

The day started off with a wonderful Bridal Luncheon before we were to head to the church. Despite being unbelievably hot that day I managed to shoot the dress, shoes, and rings outside before moving inside. We hung out at the church getting ready and prepping for the ceremony. After shooting the First Look and all the formals it was on to the ceremony.

Thank you two for being all around awesome and allowing me to document this incredible time in your life!

Jodie & Seth: Married

A couple weekends ago I headed down to Macon, MS to shoot an awesome wedding! We started the day with alittle skeet shooting at the Circle M Plantation. Though it was overcast and drizzly, it didn't stop the guys from having a great time. After catching up with the girls we headed up to the church to shoot before the wedding.

The wedding was packed and the ceremony went wonderful. Afterwards we headed back out to the Circle M Plantation to finish up the night with good food, drinks, and dancing. The wedding turned out incredible and was such an honor to document!

Jodie & Seth: Wedding Quick Look

So I'm still without internet access, however I had to run up to the coffee shop to post up a quick look. The wedding this past weekend was gorgeous and I can't wait to share more with you! So check back later in the week for the full post (and keep your fingers crossed that I'll FINALLY get the internet up and working!).

Rachel & Colt: Married

Last Saturday I had the incredible opportunity to document Rachel & Colt's wedding which took place just outside Meridian, MS.  It turned out to be a down right gorgeous day and we couldn't have had a more beautiful location.

We started off the day with a wonderful Bridal Luncheon before heading off to Rachel's home for hair and makeup.  All the while, the guys were hanging out and just relaxing before the wedding.  Though the sun was bright and hot for most of the day right at ceremony time the sun set just enough to cast some awesome shade on everyone.  The ceremony went wonderfully and was full of emotion.  After getting pelted with Fruit Loops they made their way to the antique Ford Mustang to make their getaway.

Thanks Colt & Rachel, the wedding was amazing and such an honor to document!

Before & After and an Update :)

So if you're a recent client, or a 2009 or '10 bride you met me and would have noticed I had incredibly long hair.  Well I was actually in the process of growing it out to donate to Locks of Love.  Well after a long 18 months it was FINALLY long enough!  I was able to get it all (well most of it) cut off and feel like myself again!  With summer approaching and a few outdoor weddings in Mississippi I knew the long hair would be HOT, so I was really happy to loose it.  With that said, I'll put up a before and after shot.

On with the update...  In other exciting news, my wife Erin and I have purchased our first home!  We have been slowly moving all our things over and have finally got it to a point where we are living there.  The only problem with this is that we don't, and won't, have any internet access until next monday. Sooo, if I've been a little slow getting back with you that is why.  (Please give me a call if you need something!)

Thanks to some help from Richard Photo Lab and A Bryan Photo, I'm now in love with shooting film!  It's really an awesome thing to shoot film and be able to be so connected with your subject without constantly feeling the need to look at the back of the camera (Not to worry I will still be shooting pretty much all digital, just adding in some film).  So be on the lookout for more film here and there :)

Well it's been an incredibly busy past few weeks, several weddings, a couple lifestyle shoots, and moving!  Thank you for continuing to check out my blog!!

Film from the Holga!

So recently I have been playing around with shooting some film.  I've been shooting some medium format work through the Holga and also a Mamiya.  So I decided to bring along my holga to Santa Monica with me to Courtney & Aaron's wedding.

I only shot one roll while I was out there and just got my film back from Richard Photo Lab (these guys are awesome!).  Anyway, so I wanted to share a few of my favorites from the wedding and then a few I took just hanging out in Santa Monica.

These were all shot on the holga and are straight out of the camera with no processing.

Brooks & Cameron: Married

Last Saturday I had the honor of shooting Brooks & Cameron's wedding in West Point, MS.  I was pretty worried that we would catch some bad weather (especially after the rainy start with the guys and golf) but God had other plans!  The day was beautiful and we had really amazing light all day!

After a wonderful ceremony we were led to the reception by a bag piper :)  The reception was held at the Ritz Theatre in West Point, MS and was a great venue.  Thanks you two for such an awesome wedding, have a great time on your honeymoon!!

Brooks & Cameron: Quick Look!

Shot a great wedding in West Point, MS this past weekend and wanted to put up a couple images.  Check back tomorrow for the full blog post and slideshow!
