Somethings Different :) (*Hint look up*)

Alright, so I'm sure if you're a photographer you've probably heard of David Jay and some of the amazing Showit products.  When starting my own website I decided to go with the Showit Sites.  It was a very quick and easy way for me to get a website up and running.  What I didn't realize at the time was the unbelievable custimization that was possible with the software.

Since launching my original site I've been working here and there on a new redesigned website (very sleek, simple, and straight to the point).  The fact that someone who has NO knowledge on code or building a website can sit down and build a site from scratch in no time is a true testament to Showit Sites ease of use.

If you've been to my blog before you know I had this boring ole blog header that I made in photoshop (ugly to say the least!).  Well I had heard about an upcoming update that would allow you to create a blog header whithin Showit.  I'm super pumped to say that the update is out and I was able to get rid of the old blog header.  Now mind you, I made this new blog header from a blank page in literally 30 minutes or so.  Crazy!  It's not perfect, but it's a whole lot better than the last!

Anyway, thanks DJ for an amazing piece of software!

**Update**

Okay, it's official, I'm becoming a terrible blogger! No excuses, just been keeping busy (which is good & bad I guess). My new website is coming along greatly and I can't wait to let you guys see it. I'm so pumped about the changes and hope to have things to a release point in the next 2-3 months (keeping fingers crossed!)

I've also just got onboard with ShootQ and love it so far! To all my current clients you've been added to the ShootQ system and should have gotten a client portal e-mail within the past few days. Please contact me if you haven't received all your information!

Well to keep things from being totally boring on this post I spent a little time with Colt & Rachel while they were in Starkville last weekend, so I leave you with a pic from that.

Gracie

After my engagement shoot last weekend in Collierville, TN with Brooks & Cameron, Erin and I headed off to Oxford, MS.  My brother Justin had just gotten home with his new weimarwaner pup.  She is sooo tiny and cute that I had to get out my camera and snap a few shots before heading back to Starkville.

Hope everyone has an outstanding weekend and to all my readers in college have a safe spring break :)

For the photogs out there these were all shot with the Canon 1D MkIII with 50mm 1.4 (wide open the whole time I believe) at 1600 ISO.  The images were then pulled into LR 2 to edit.

Brooks & Cameron: Engagements

Last weekend I had the pleasure of shooting a great engagement session in Collierville, TN. I meet up with Brooks & Cameron on the square, which was totally awesome, and we got to shooting. We had a great time hanging out and exploring around the square. I can't wait to shoot y'alls wedding in May!

On to the pics, enjoy :)

Rachel & Colt: Engagements

So, yesterday I headed down to Meridian, MS to shoot an engagement session with Rachel & Colt. I had been carefully watching the weather all week and was just hoping for the best. One day there would be a chance of storms then the next day there would be forecasts for partly cloudy/partly sunny. Well by Friday it looked like we were going to be stuck with partly cloudy and the possibility for some snow moving in late in the day! Despite being cold and drizzly for most of the shoot we had a great time and got some great shots, I had a great time hanging with you guys!

Here are some of my favorite stills and scroll down to the bottom for the slideshow!

By this point it was just flat out nasty! 15-20 mph north wind and staring to rain, so we had to call it quits at this point :(

Photo of the Day

While shooting an engagement session in Meridian, MS yesterday we stumbled upon this random bike in a tree.  This was in the middle of downtown, so I had a grab a quick pic :)

Check back later for more images from Rachel and Colt's engagement session!
